George William Watkinson was born on the 28th of June 1899 or 1900 in Swinefleet, Near Goole which is in South Yorkshire, England.

He married Grace Agnes Madison and had six children although two of the female children died in infancy.

George Edward, one of their sons, was known more commonly as Ted or Eddie lived in the Rugby area of England for a number of years before moving to Darton, Barnsley in South Yorkshire England.

Their only daughter, Connie Hickie (previously Watkinson) is at present living in Athersley Barnsley which again is in South Yorkshire, England.

Their second son, Frank Watkinson my father, is at present living in Kendray, Barnsley which once again is in South Yorkshire, England.

Peter Watkinson, their youngest son, is now living in Thorne, Doncaster which is in South Yorkshire, England.
